One of the trends due to be popular in 2023 is greenery. Many brides are choosing to ditch florals all together and instead opt for a green, botanical feeling Wedding. We've put together this simple guide to show you how to create your own DIY boutonnieres using just artificial foliage.
The products we've used will comfortably make 4 buttonholes. If you need more than this, adjust accordingly. The whole cost of this DIY is £18.32 and each buttonhole costs £4.58.
Start by trimming the foliage down to your required length. Remember to leave a bit of stem at the bottom - this is where you will wrap the ribbon round to hold everything in place.
Once you have trimmed all of your stems, arrange in a way you like and secure with a small bit of string. This allows you to get a tight wrap around the arrangement without your flowers moving around.
Take your ribbon, wrap this around the stems until the entire bottom part is covered. Take some flower glue (any strong glue/fabric glue will work) and pop a little bit on the end of the ribbon and glue in place.
Don't worry if it doesn't look perfect the first time, you can undo the ribbon and try again! Once you're happy with the way they look, leave the glue to dry and you're all done!
