Royal Flowers and Hidden Secrets - Queen Elizabeth

Posted by Jessica Walton on 15th May 2018

After Queen Victoria, our next Bride we look at is Queen Elizabeth and her gorgeous bouquet. Before we know it Prince Harry and Meghan's Wedding will be here and we will no longer need to desperately wait to see their Royal Flowers. The anticipation is building, so lets go back to take our minds off of it.

White cascading Orchids, and of course a sprig of Myrtle made up Queen Elizabeth’s bouquet. Cascading Bouquets is a very skilled, time consuming and short lived method, but worth the beauty and perfect placement of each individual flower and sometimes even leaf. Her bouquet, so beautiful, actually went missing, putting into practice the need of two identical bouquets in case of a mishap like this ever happening again. Even the Royal’s can experience a wedding crisis.

Through the language of flowers, White Orchids speak innocence, elegance, and beauty, while white says reverence and humility. The flowers found throughout the rest of the day were white lilies, chrysanthemums, roses, camellia, ivy, and carnations, with a splash of pink found through some carnations.
