It was our honour to sponsor Wesley Street this year during Southport Flowers Show. If you have never been, Wesley Street is a much loved colourful, eventful street bursting with individual personality. It’s known locally as the village in the town, and home to unique and quirky shops with friendly owners. The Street has numerous awards for floral displays, community spirit and even won the best Neighbourhood award in 2014. Presently, it has just been nominated for the Great British High Street Award, good luck !
Wesley Street Sign
Already attending Southport Flower Show we thought it would be a great idea to decorate the Wesley Street sign. In keeping with the theme ‘Once Upon a Time’ we used giant flowers and book pages. The colourful blooms suited the street perfectly and enhanced the sign. Attaching the flower garland we made was the biggest issue we crossed. The sign is a lot higher when you actually try to reach the top! However with thanks to The Creative Studio, one of the shops found on the infamous street, it went up with ease and looked gorgeous. The weather was against us for most of the week, but a dry patch allowed us to proceed with giving the sign more pizzazz.
The Creative Studio
The Creative Studio is just as it sounds a little hub of excitement and creativity. With many different classes held there it’s bound to have something suited to you or your little ones. Katie, the owner, is beyond lovely and was so helpful with the organising of our mini project. Just like other shops in the street, Katie gets into the spirit of the flower show each year creating amazing window displays. This year we sponsored her window, in keeping with the sign.
At the flower show itself we had a stand, decorated the bandstand, made wall hangings for the live chef’s area and sponsored the sundries for the table centres in the VIP area. As you can see we thrive off the busy buzz. We gained so much from sponsoring the lovely Wesley Street and had a great time doing so.
