Florence The Flower Bus Visits Country Baskets!

Posted by Jessica Walton on 1st Jan 2017

Hands on education is a huge part of success in any profession, especially one like floristry where a majority of the industry is creative. Florence the Flower Bus, brought to us by Florismart, was the perfect opportunity for florists to learn a little more about the trade in that hands on way that is so important. It was such an incredible way for all the florists who were lucky enough to have some time on the bus to get more information and speak to people working in the industry.

Over seven weeks the bus travelled up and down the country, visiting a variety of place to set up shop and educate budding florists, including a selection of Country Baskets store, on of which was our Head Quarters in Leeds! Here, we were able to speak with members of Florismart that travelled on the bus as well as working florists who were taking part in the learning. A warm and welcoming vibe could be felt which might explain the success of the tour and the amount of engagement achieved over the weeks.

The florists were very excited about the bus and really engaged with the sponsors once they were on board, giving nothing but positive feedback and love for the bus. As there was educational material on board as well as goody bags full of florist friendly products, there was something for everyone. Not to mention a great atmosphere throughout the whole tour, resulting in a buzz on board and a large amount of fun to be had, whilst of course still learning all there is to know about the world of floristry.

With over 4000 miles travelled and around 700 florists that hopped on the bus, the seven weeks were described as tough but enjoyable by the team. Which lead us to ask the question, will Florence the Flower Bus be hitting the road again any time soon? Hopefully there will be plans for another tour in 2018, were even more educating can be done on the industry and trade.

Parking in the Head Quarter's car park with doors wide open, all florists were welcomed aboard. No matter if they’re large or small, there was something for everyone to learn! So with there being talk of another tour taking place in 2018, don’t worry if you missed this years. Make sure to keep a look out for any dates being released next year for the return of Flo the Flower Bus.
