How-to: Summer's Shore English Heath Arrangement

Posted by Jessica Walton on 20th Jun 2017

This arrangement is an innovative way to use the new English Heath collection from Country Baskets, that is a little different but a defiant eye catcher. The English Heath artificial flowers are a seasonal collection that can be pared perfectly with anything rustic and upcycled, or in the case of this arrangement something a little different. The vase is part of the very unique Teak collection that is only available in stores and come in a variety of shapes and sizes, which complements this flower collection beautifully.

With wildflowers currently being on trend, and making a large appearance at the latest RHS Chelsea Show, this is the ideal piece to keep your floristry portfolio up to date!

Everything you need:
Teak Wood and Glass Jug - available in store
English Heath Bunches
Mother of Pearl Shells
Victoria Taupe Ribbon
Pastel Seashells Apple Green
Grapevine Wire

Step One
Place some of the English Heath sprays together to create an arrangement and tie the Grapevine Wire around the flower stems, this needs to be tied at the point just before the stems start to flower.

Step Two
Once you’re happy with your arrangement, place it into the glass jug at an angle and pour in layers of stones and mother of pearl shells. This will add some more colour to the overall arrangement as well as hiding the end of the stems.

Step Three
Create a bow with the taupe ribbon and tie it to the arrangement using the grapevine wire that was used previously. For visual flow, manipulate the ends of the ribbon so that they flow in one direction.

Step Four
Create depth and movement by spreading out the flowers in the arrangement. Bend the flowers slightly in the same direction as the ribbon to create a windswept look.
