Bottles can be one of the hardest things to wrap, so hopefully this will help when it come to those tricky presents!
The layered wrapping and rustic elements, gives this wrapping idea a chic feel that is easy to achieve, but will look stunning under the Christmas tree or as a gift to a special someone. So take some inspiration from this and see what you can come up with for your gift wrapping!
What you will need:
Brown Paper
Red Twine String
Red Berry Spray
Holly Cellophane
Scissors
Tape
Step One:
Start by wrapping the bottle in plain brown paper, ensure that you use enough paper to wrap the bottom as well as cover the neck. Secure the paper with tape and cut off any excess that will make the wrapping look untidy.
Step Two:
Fold the edges around the bottom of the bottle underneath so it doesn't slip out, and secure with more tape. This needs to be as neat and as flat as possible, so the bottle can still stand after it's being wrapped.
Step Three:
Next, make a small slit on either side of brown paper around the neck, then fold these in so the wrapping is tight on this section. Sticking tape over these slits to secure them will ensure that they don't rip at any point.
Step Four:
Now it's time for the festive cellophane, which needs to be wrapped in the same way that the brown paper was including being tighter around the neck of the bottle.
Step Five:
Trim off any excess paper or cellophane at the top of the wrapping to make it look tidy, here I've cut the point off the top of the brown paper so it's in line with the cellophane.
Step Six:
Then, tie some red twine string around the neck and pull it tight. Adding a bow with the red twine will give a lovely touch to the overall look.
Step Seven:
Finally, cut some of the red berries from the spray and tie them together with string, then loop this around the bow and secure it with a knot. This should hang from the bow and down the bottle.
So why not give this a go yourself and hopefully the bottle wrapping will be a lot easier!
