Take some inspiration for this years Christmas wrapping with Country Baskets and get creative! The beautiful colour that can be brought to Christmas day through gift wrapping is something to consider when choosing themes and how to gift wrap for your loved ones. Here is a crafty 'how-to' on the perfect way to bring that colour to your wrapping, so why not have a go yourself?
Step 1:
Start by wrapping the gift in the coloured tissue paper, as this is a thin material the gift might need to be wrapped in brown paper before this, to ensure that nothing can be seen through the gift wrap.
Step 2:
Next, group four pieces string together and make sure they are all the same length. Wrap them around the gift and create a knot at the back by passing the string over each other, this will secure the pieces meaning they won't move about when continuing with the wrapping.
Step 3:
Now bring the string back to the front of the gift and tie them together, I would recommend tying a double knot here and making sure it is as tight as possible. Then, cut the excess length off as close to the knot as possible.
Step 4:
Next, cut four lengths of strings in a variety of colours for the bow, we used the same green as the string used before and a red, and tie it around the knot that has been formed before.
Step 5:
Finally add some mini pine cones to the bow by tucking the steams under the string and secure then with tape.
This theme is the perfect way to add a little colour to your gift wrapping whilst still bringing a rustic feel. The berries on the tissue paper compliment the flash of red in the bow whilst the green string works perfectly with the natural colour of the pine cones. So have a go and wow your friends and family with this beautiful wrapping!
