Autumn is in the air, a season to behold nature's palette. It's great to work with all the different colours and textures that only Autumn can bring us.
You will need:
Bark Vase 20cm (find in store)
Hydrangea Lilac (find in store)
Chrysanthemum Burgundy (find in store)
Foam Brick 23 x 11 x 8 cm Oasis
Artificial Veronica Spray Burgundy
Artificial Asparagus Fern Spray
Step One
Cut a piece of dry foam and insert into the vase. Make sure it is secure as it will be taking the weight of your silks.
Step Two
Insert the Teawood branches vertically into the foam keeping them straight to help achieve visual balance and begin building up the design using some veronica. Cut and insert the veronica into the foam vertically, and some horizontally for shape.
Step Three
Recess clusters of leaves into the foam at the base of the branches. This will help define the vocal point.
Step Four
For visual balance add chrysanthemum vertically so that it follows the veronica and teawood branches.
Step Five
Add some asparagus around the bowl to emphasise the flow of the arrangement.
Step Six
Add a focal point using red rose heads and insert them into the foam. This will complete the design.
Step Seven
Add some more texture to the design using clusters of hydrangea around the focal point.
And there you have it. A colourful and crisp autumnal arrangement to compliment your home during the autumn period.
