Heart Shaped Flower Box.

New to Country Baskets are these fantastic flower boxes. They provide a novel way to present flowers as a gift or to just simply display. Have a go at creating our beautiful flower box today.

What you'll need:

Heart shaped gift box natural (find in store)
Floral Print Linen Ribbon 4 cm x 10 m
Wooden Heart Decorations Pack of 4
Box of 20 Foam Bricks 23 x 11 x 8 cm Dry
Finland Moss 500 g Green
Artificial Premier Hydrangea 68 cm Purple
Artificial Polly Rose Spray Pink 48 cm

Step 1

Fist you need to cut out a heart shape from the dry foam brick so that it fits into the box securely.

Step 2

Take your heart shaped gift box and wrap the ribbon around the outside; creating a decorative band and secure using glue.

Step 3

Now disguise the foam by sprinkling some green Finland moss over it. This will finish the base for your silks.

Step 4

Now it's time to add a bit of colour. Cut your premier hydrangea into smaller sprigs and insert them into the foam base.

Step 5

Add some more colour by cutting your rose spray into smaller parts and again insert into the foam. Add a centerpiece using one of the wooden heart decorations. Twist some wire around the decoration and attach to the gift box.

Step 6

Add a bow using the ribbon and finish with a wooden heart decoration

These flower boxes are so versatile, you could even fill them with confetti for a wedding.

For this alternative piece you will first need to stuff the gift box with some organza instead of foam. And then pour some confetti or dried rose heads into the box.

So there you have it. Two different outcomes, proving just how versatile these flower boxes really are.
