Working with independent brands is something we love to do, which is why we are excited to announce that the newest member to Country Baskets is Edwin Berry Candles! With a unique texture and smoothie inspired scents, these candles are an exciting growth which we are thrilled to be working with. To get a feel for the company we visited the factory of Edwin Berry Candles located on the outskirts of York, where they produce up to 300 candles a day.

Visiting the wonderful factory of the brains behind the Edwin Berry Candles was a delight, we talked inspiration and brand messages whilst being shown the process for making the candles. Coming away with both some lovely goodies and knowledge of the company was a pleasure.

With Christmas markets being predominantly the places where Edwin Berry sell their products; York, Edinburgh, Manchester and Winchester markets being the biggest. Country Baskets in Leeds is the first place where you can purchase the candles in store, being able to find these little gems in a high street store is something to get excited about.

The unique elements to the candles is what makes them a real head turner, with the texture taking three years to perfect and scents always been a working progress these candles are a wonder in the industry. This can be seen in the amount of returning customers who will visit the Christmas markets every year just for the Edwin Berry Candles. The beautiful Orange Spice and Hot Cinnamon scents are the best sellers throughout the Christmas time, but the Strawberry Kiwi takes the crown through the rest of the year with its fruity scent and bright colours. Making it a show stopper and a must for any candle enthusiast.

With a large focus put on the homemade and handcrafted element of the company, a friendly feel to the business has been achieved which can be seen throughout the manufacturing process and in the products that are created. Due to there being a large amount of importance for customers, inspiration is taken from blind testing and feedback for scent combinations.
