Preparation for Leeds Castle

Posted by Jessica Walton on 21st Sep 2017

With the opening date for the Festival of Flowers looming, the preparation has started! With world renowned florists flying in from across the globe and there being an expected 2,000 visitors to the event, this year's 'Enchanted Castle' theme will leave you spell bound.

One of the florists who will be demonstrating and creating a beautiful installation is our very own Creative Development Manager, Tracy Rowbottom. With her installation being on the castle’s arches and being created with only faux flowers, this is something that has never been seen in the history of the Festival of Flowers.

Prep Work: At the Bristol Branch

Here are some of the pictures that Tracy has shared on her social media of the preparation that she and her team have been doing.

Day 1: Arrival to the Castle
Arriving late at night meant the team got a glimpse at the beautiful spot-light lit castle.

Day 2: The Beginning

It's an early start to the day for Tracy and the team but there is already so many exciting things happening at the Caste.

Day 3: Flowers Galore
Now that the structure is complete, its time for the star of the show...the Faux Flowers! The combination that Tracy has selected for the flowers to be used on the arches compliment the ancient stone and regal feel of the castle.

Stay Tuned for Updates!

The faux flowers which Tracy is using throughout the installation are being added today and are looking fabulous! So make sure to key an eye out for updates on the blog and on all of our social media.
