RHS Tatton Flower Show: The Floral Design Marquee

Posted by Jessica Walton on 25th Jul 2017

Julie Pearson

Julie Pearson, a floral designer and educator who has demonstrated around Europe, has been working with Country Baskets for the last 10 years on event dressing and demonstrating in-stores up and down the country. As part of this year's Tatton Flower Show many of her beautiful creations were displayed in the Floral Design Marquee. Julie is one of the florists who demonstrated throughout the week at Tatton Park, so it was lovely to have a catch up with her on the wonderful experience and what products she was using.

Here is Julie demonstrating in the Floral Design Marquee.

Something that Julie commented on was how busy Tatton Park seemed, there were a lot of people buzzing around the Floral Design Marquee and watching the demonstrations. This is lovely to see as well as rewarding to the demonstrators, as a lot of work has gone into the planning and designing of pieces that were being shown.

Julie also spoke about the Country Baskets products that she was loving! For example, the bright coloured plastic bottles with straws can be used as a vase which is an unusual combination to see a flower arrangement in, but creates a unique structure that is equally as stunning. Julie also commented on the woodland range of containers that can be found in Country Baskets as they make the perfect containers for creating something beautiful yet a little different.

The Country Baskets Stall

Another exciting part of the Flower Shows is the chance to grab a bargain at the array of stalls that are set up in the Market Place. Like most years, Country Baskets had a stall which we sold a variety of products on. There was a large selection of Outdoor Living and ornaments as well as floristry sundries available for purchase, this was a huge success as the stall was busy all week.

Passers-by browsing the products that we took to Tatton Park for purchase.
