RHS Chelsea Floristry Competition has made a few changes this year to the design concepts and rules. Most notably is the banning of plastic based foam, glue and wire and replacing these with more planet friendly and sustainable options.
We all understand that the fresh flower industry is global, as are its challenges. This year the concept for Floristry & Floral Design at RHS Chelsea 2021 was ‘Our World’. This was presented in a series of 14 different installations created by some of the country’s top florists.
The 4 themes for floral artisans to show their designs are :
Theme I British Blooms
Theme II Preservation
Theme III Pollination
Theme IV Beauty of Nature
Here are some images of the installations.
A special thank you to Tracy Rowbottom for inviting myself and our studio photographer Bobby to view your exhibit. Also congratulations on acheiving a Bronze medal for your 'On Reflection' creation, we loved your installtion and could have looked at it for hours!
