Getting married surrounded by elegance and charm of a beautiful country house wedding venue adds a majestic air to any wedding day and creates the most beautiful romantic memories.
This summer we had the opportunity to do an inspirational shoot at the gorgeous Ashton Court Mansion in Bristol.
The Mansion House was a joy to style both inside, and out, with high ceilings, ornate fire places and beautiful wood floors, these unique features only come with this sort of venue.
Country House venues lend themselves beautifully to weddings adding atmosphere and a romantic feel and will gently mould to almost any theme. You can use gorgeous touches of bling to add light and sparkle or tie in with the natural textures and materials and create a more rustic and relaxed feel. We created lovely floral arches with clematis, rambling roses, amaranthus, and magnolia and opulent bridal bouquets including orchids, stephanotis, glorious and lush foliages selected from our silk flower ranges.
The stair case was decorated with garlands of tulle and veronica, foxgloves, sweet peas and delphiniums, cascading over the banisters.
The grounds at Ashton Court are beautiful and we were blessed with gorgeous sunshine and a light breeze, perfect for creating a romantic back drop for our brides. This house has been a part of Bristol for over a thousand years now, with renovations and additions to the house being conducted throughout its course. The house as it was originally built would be unrecognisable nowadays, in coherence with the additions made. The house is now used as a function venue, primarily for brides and grooms seeking their perfect venue.
The bridal gowns were designed by Kathryn Russell and she cleverly wove beautiful silk flowers through the fabric of the gown bringing them to life. They help to add an extra dimension to the dress, colour and texture not commonly seen in wedding dresses.
